Below is a step by step guide to keep and use the product- Hydroxyl Phenylalanine (Tyrosine) Detecting Kits.

(1) What is in the product box?

One tube of detecting reagent (0.5ml in volume), plastic safety cap (to be used when breaking off the lid),plastic dropper and a user manual book with colorimetric plate (standard colour card) attached at the Back.

(2) What is the storage condition?

Please keep the product at cool, dry and ventilated place and avoid sunlight as much as possible. The preferred temperature for storage is 5 to 40 Celsius degrees (41-104 Fahrenheit). The product is good for three years since the date of production. Please use the product within 1 day after the bottle lid is open.

(3) How to collect my urine?

Urine in the morning after wake-up will be good. Please discard the front portion and the end portion of the urine and only take the middle. You actually need approximately 3ml of urine to react with our product.

(4) Conditions that must be fulfilled prior to the test:

1. You cannot intake health supplements (amino acids in particular), hormone, painkillers, sedatives, antibiotics, Chinese herbs or medicines aiming to treat nervous system in the past three days.

2. You are suggested not to consume too much high-protein food/ high-fat food/ diary product/ coffee and alcohol in the past three days. If the above two conditions can be well-fulfilled, you may proceed to the test. However, you are suggested to drink suitable amount (not excessive) of water before collecting your urine sample.

(5) How to perform the test?


Step 1: Make sure your urine sample is freshly collected.
Step 2: Open up the ampoule bottle by removing (breaking off) the lid. You may use the plastic safety cap to cover the lid and then open it (so that the glass may not injure your hand). Please operate slowly to avoid injury and liquid leakage. Please seek help from healthy adults when performing this step.
Step 3: Take the dropper from the product box. Draw about 3ml of your urine and drip into the ampoule bottle, left to stand after slight oscillation. In case of temperature at 20°Cor above, the reaction results will come out within 3 minutes. If the temperature is lower than 20°C, it is allowed to heat in water at 37°C.
Step 4: Comparing the reaction sediments’ color with the standard colorimetric plate (Standard colour card). Results should be expressed as

the negative (-), weakly positive ( ± ) and positive (+). Besides the standard colorimetric plate (Standard colour card) attached to the user manual in the product box, you may also refer to the picture below to decide which is the best colour that matches with your test result.

You may approach doctors and seek for a comprehensive health check in hospitals, clinics and other health institutions.
InterferedN.A.Jaundice may be present, hence the result is severely interfered. No conclusion can be drawn from the test performed.

(7) Cautions
1.The reagent is strictly for In-vitro detection, not for oral administration.

2.The reagent is highly corrosive, the user needs to pay extra attention when using the reagent for testing. If the reagent splashes onto the skin or cloths, please wash them immediately with soap water or 2% sodium bicarbonate (NAHCO3) solution. If the reagent splashes into one’s eyes, please wash your eyes immediately with water and proceed to hospitals for timely medical treatment.
